Impact Audits

Amsterdam North

We are pleased to introduce the NAYBA Impact audit. This audit powerfully reflects the impact of the faith communities on well-being in Amsterdam-North

Amsterdam-Noord is a district that has traditionally been a colorful collection of neighborhoods, each with its own character and dynamics. In recent years, it is an area that has undergone a major change. With the development of the IJ bank, new hotspots are created and many new apartment complexes are being built everywhere. Despite all these lovely developments, Amsterdam-North is still a district that performs poorly in the areas of poverty, loneliness and general well-being.

This report shows that faith communities have not only played a critical role in meeting the increased needs of the past year, but have sought to serve the wider community long before the pandemic and will continue to do so long into the future.

The final audit report includes the following statistics:

  • 38 community service activities addressing 11 of the greatest social needs
  • 7,653 unique beneficiaries over the last year
  • €1,324,555 social impact value of faith based organisations for the for the Amsterdam-North district in 2019

We hope that this audit may contribute to the collaboration between faith-based organizations and communities with the city district, other government departments and welfare organizations to provide appropriate help and support to those who need it.
