The general affluence of Stellenbosch often masks the social issues that exist below the surface, but the pandemic has brought many of these issues into focus. While a lot of uncertainty has surrounded the last few years, one thing that has become very clear is that faith organisations are one of the best positioned institutions to respond to urgent needs in our communities.

Like every NAYBA Impact Audit, the audit alone is not the end goal, but just the beginning. We look forward to seeing how these results can guide the future community engagement efforts of the Stellenbosch faith and civil community.

• 53 survey responses, representing a good sample of faith-based organizations
• 77 community service activities addressing 13 of the greatest social needs
• 28,000+ unique beneficiaries over the last year
• R10 million in social impact value to the Stellenbosch communityin the last year
